Sexual Health Lobby Day in Boston!

Come and learn

Thanks to the League of Women Voters for this information. A link to their page is below.

Date: Tuesday, Jan. 31
Location: State House in Boston
Time:  Coffee and information, 9:30 - 11 a.m.
                  Lobbying training, 11 a.m. - noon; lobbying noon - 2 p.m.

Join over 30 organizations to insist on bills supporting sexual health. Among the target legislation is a bill for accurate, age-appropriate sex education, a bill LWVMA has been supporting for years.  Other legislation in the works is a bill to make contraception more affordable by eliminating co-pays, including co-pays for emergency contraception, and closing insurance loopholes on contraception; and a bill to protect confidentiality on insurance documents.

Please RSVP to attend and protect women's health.
At each lobby day, you will receive information on the legislation being proposed so you can discuss it with your legislators or their aides.  Encourage your Senator and Representative to sign up to co-sponsor these bills by the Feb. 3 co-sponsor deadline.  Emphasize the importance the League places on these issues.  You can find the office room numbers for your Senator and Representative here.
These are lobby days, not rallies, so they will take place inside the State House.  If there is a snow issue, we will notify people who RSVP of any changes by email and will also post any changes on the homepage of our website, www.lwvma.org.

Please forward this alert to friends who may be interested in participating in these lobby days.
